# Internet Relay Chat (IRC)

**Scan with nmap the ports** (or the ports that gives your the IRC)

```
nmap -sV -p 6667,6697,8067,33430,42691,55659,61713,65534 <target>
```

**Connect to the target** (HexChat)

```
apt install hexchat        <-- Install it
hexchat                    <-- Run Client

Set up the channell and the ports.
1) target/6697
2) target/8067
3) target/65534

Login as username
Once logged in the service version is revealed.

**Connect to the target** (netcat)

```
ncat 10.10.10.10 8067
PASS mypass
NICK mynick

USER myuser hostname servername :realname
```
